melody. :: Sincerely Yours
|
Review Here we have melody.'s first music video collection which contains four promotional videos, behind the scenes, and extra footage of melody. The four music videos all have a short introduction clip with melody. talking about the song and also a 'making of' for each one. I thought the videos were well done and melody. looks good in them.
Dreamin' Away uses the Japanese version of the song. I like this video, it's got some nice close ups of melody. and she looks striking. Some of her dance moves look a little funny, but that's not a bad thing.
Simple As That is essentially melody. dancing with a group of others. Highly original, I know, but I still like it. Why? Melody. is attractive in her dancing and outfits. Yeah, I'm easy to please.
Crystal Love has a unique look to it, utilizing a fast frame type motion for melody., making her move faster than normal but sing at the correct speed. It's pretty cool, although it almost adds a comedic element to it that doesn't really seem to fit the song.
Sincerely is a slow tempo ballad, and is handled fittingly with the camera slowly panning as melody. sings the song. Not particularly all that exciting, but it is kind of beautiful.
The discography section is really just a collection of commercials (I'm assuming they were used as commercials) of melody.'s previously released CDs. The 'Opening,' 'Memories,' 'Ending,' and '...' are brief clips of additional footage of melody., such as her thanking her fans (partially in English, nice!), talking about her past, and doing cute things. The extra '...' is really quite a fun video of melody.
The Photo Album section has some still images of melody. that look like they were taken from the music video sets and promotional material. Photopics is a timeline with very small pictures of things relating to her music career and some random stuff that have descriptions under them, with a majority of it translated in English. The extra flower bed music video isn't a "real" music video. It's kind of like a behind the scenes footage presented in a stained glass window view, and it doesn't last the entire length of the song.
Overall, Sincerely Yours is a very solid DVD release. It contains a good amount of behind the scenes content and the music videos are enjoyable. I definitely recommend picking it up if you're a fan of her music.
